Located in the village of Shantawene, in Ethiopia's Sidama region, Gatta Farm is much more than a coffee producer. Founded by Mulugeta Dukamoand his brother Asefa Dukamo, the farm was conceived from the outset as a driver of local development.
Coffee cultivation, harvesting, and processing are primarily carried out by local residents. Women play a crucial role in quality control and post-harvest processing. By offering fair wages and decent working conditions, the farm directly contributes to improving the local standard of living.
Gatta Farm also includes a drying station, a lodge, and a training center. The latter welcomes interns each year to train them in coffee processing techniques, thereby creating sustainable learning and employment opportunities.
Thanks to its social commitment, environmental respect, and exceptional terroir, Gatta Farm produces high-quality coffees while strengthening the communities that surround it.
