Cooperative since 1966

At the heart of the mountains in the Cajamarca region of northern Peru, this coffee is grown by a passionate producer who champions an artisanal and sustainable approach. On his high-altitude farm, each lot is hand-picked to select only perfectly ripe cherries. The meticulous work carried out after harvest preserves all the natural sweetness and balance of the Caturra.

The producer favors environmentally friendly methods, both in cultivation and in coffee processing, with particular attention paid to soil health and surrounding biodiversity. This approach gives rise to an accessible, comforting, and remarkably balanced coffee. In the cup, you'll find a velvety texture accompanied by notes of milk chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and a fruity hint of red plum. A coffee of great finesse... without needing to overdo it.

Terroir

Located in the Junín region, in the heart of Peru's Chanchamayo Valley, this coffee farm benefits from an exceptional environment for Caturra development. The plantations grow at high altitudes, surrounded by dense vegetation and a tropical climate tempered by the Andean mountains. Hot days and cooler nights allow for slow cherry maturation, promoting beautiful aromatic complexity and a well-developed natural sweetness.

The rich soils and constant humidity of the region contribute to creating round, accessible, and expressive coffees. Chanchamayo is known for producing balanced profiles where gourmet and fruity notes coexist harmoniously. In this cup, the terroir expresses itself through a velvety texture and flavors of milk chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and red plum. A comforting and precise coffee, which reminds us why well-executed classics remain hard to beat.
