The producer

Founded in the 1990s by José Maria and his brother, Fazenda Esperança quickly became a pillar of coffee cultivation in its region. Passed down from generation to generation, the farm entered a new era in 2021 with the arrival of Deyvid, José Maria's grandson. His journey began very early, at the age of 10, alongside his grandfather, between the fields and the patios. Curious and rigorous, he then expanded his skills in warehousing, cupping, and sensory analysis. His thirst for knowledge led him to Canada, where he discovered consumer expectations and the codes of specialty coffee. Back in Brazil, Deyvid used this knowledge to serve the farm, combining family tradition and a contemporary approach to constantly raise the quality of the coffees produced.

The region

Located in the heart of Cerrado Mineiro, a region globally renowned for the consistency and traceability of its coffees, Fazenda Esperança benefits from exceptional terroir. Stable climatic conditions and rich soils provide an ideal setting for producing balanced and expressive coffees. Under Deyvid's direction, the farm pays particular attention to post-harvest processes and quality control, with every detail considered to unleash the full potential of the coffee. His active involvement in prestigious competitions, such as the Cup of Excellence, and his role as a judge, have allowed him to refine his understanding of Brazilian profiles. This expertise now translates into precise, meticulous coffees deeply rooted in their origin, reflecting both the Cerrado Mineiro terroir and the farm's demanding vision.
